my passenger one was majorly busted, so i pulled it out and realized it comes out like a bulb. unfortunately i think a wire is broken back there and groudning itself, because my light is staying on.

any idea on how to get to it without taking the damn fender off?

I had a similar thing happen to mine. You can access it from the kickpannel inside the car. Although with my situation it was on the drivers side, and from my guesses it will be a little different since the ECU is on the passenger side. But it can be done! Good luck.

Well, since I already have it, I figure it will work just fine after I do the swap. Although for safety purposes I may rig up a switch so that it won't engage if its in gear, shouldn't be too hard. And since I work at the place I got the remote start, they can give me some advice too. But I will look into it for you in the mean time. On the other hand, they do make special kits that are made for manual vehicles, but Im sure they cost a bit more. So there are some options, I'll see if I can find anything else out.
