door wont open, searched

ok fellas, my driver side door handle had always been broken, but I could still open the door from the outside, there was just a special way to do it and its hard to open. The other day I went to open it and it seems as if it broke even more and now the handle is completley loose and the door dosent open from outside, or the inside either! Its so embarrasing pulling up anywhere or trying to leave anywhere and having people see you jump in your passenger side door and have the car drive away, especially when your trying to sell it. This is the biggest pain in the ass, besides a new door handle how do i fix this.

IMO, if the handle has been broke and you're selling the car, might as well fix the problem new door handles really look nice. I bought mine for $19.99 through late model rest.


It beats climbing out the passenger side or climbing out of the driver's side window like you're in the dukes of hazard.

if the handle is just loose like its not connected to the rod it probably fell off.

i used to have this problem all the time, i would accidently pull up on the handle while i had the key in unlocking it, the small rod the handles pushes fall out of the hole and renders the handle useless.

take the door panel off and see if thats the problem. while your at it, get the nice metal handles they are much better than factory plastic ones.
