OK, I have a Dorman 615-478 on a 1998 GT 4.6 that was leaking, come to find out the PO had used seperate intake gaskets along with the integral gaskets that come with the intake. Both sets of gaskets are boogered, so my question is:
What kind of success might I have filling the groves on the intake where the gaskets used to fit with epoxy, sanding flat and then using regular gaskets?
I know it sounds tedious but I'm trying to save a buddy a few bucks and I can't find replacement gaskets that go with this intake because Dorman has updated the product...
