double sump

I have a 1987 lx Can I use an oil pan from a 302 that doesn't have a double sump?

Don't know for sure. I did notice in the Jegs/Summit catalogs, they sell 460 conversion kits with double sump pans for Fox vehicles and crate engine install kits for Foxes with double sumps. I would assume that is the only pan that will fit after seeing these.

They make the double sump oil pan for all the swap motors into the fox body. Thats the oil pan that fits.

On 302 engines, the double sump pan provides clearance for the oil pump.
