This might be a dumb question, but I'm confused... I always thought the pipe came in pieces and had to be welded together, but all the pictures I see of it make it look like a complete pipe... Doesn't it have to be welded together at the X?
I think they all come in like a 6 piece kit, but I know that it has to be welded together. If you want cats, then they have to welded in as well.
They are a great company, but it requires a little extra work .
With stock manifolds it comes in 5 pieces for LT's it comes in 7 and you have to cut the additional 2 pieces to mate up with unequal length headers and or if the headers you have are too long.
Yes it has to be welded they don't have a one piece unit the X itself is one piece but the other pipes have to be welded to the X and the bolts from your headers and catback just bolt up. There are several people who have had their cats welded in.

Yep.....it has to be welded just like everyone has already said. On the Dr. Gas website, the pictures are of a pipe already put together. That makes a lot of people think it comes in one piece. I guess they do that just to show you what it looks like. It is somewhat misleading and confusing however when you don't know the inside scoop. Get one...you won't regret it.

Should I have the muffler shop install the Dr. Gas tomorrow and then
install the Catback myself on Friday?
or just wait until Friday and have the shop do it all?
