i was wondering what anyone thought about this setup. how this would sound and what kind of performance would i expect to see. also would these to work together well or not or does anyone have any suggetions for me. i also saw on the drgas.com website that they have a side exhaust system that claims to produce some nice numbers. i have a 98 cobra and just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this to give me some more information.
thanks,
joe

Dr Gas X is probably one of the best midpipes out there (performance-wise) & you can't go wrong with the Bassani catback either IMHO.

DR GAS RULES...Greatest mid pipe on the market. You will make great power with this x pipe and it sounds amazing. I ran a DR gas with magnaflow on my 96 Cobra and boy did it sound good..The guy i bought it from who had a 99 Cobra, made 21rwhp 23rwtq over stock with just the X pipe.

is it extremely noisy without the cats and when u say it is one of the best performance wise, how is the quality of the part itself. i am looking for a nice deep sound. tell me what you think.

IMO the Dr.Gas x-pipe sounds awesome, if you run it with a straight through muffler like a borla or a magnaflow then it's not that loud. As for quality it looked fine to me but it comes in 5 pieces so you will have to get it welded. I have a bassani o/r x on my car but my friend has a Dr Gas on his 96 cobra, since I heard his I want to get one.
