This is for a fully-laden street Cobra with 26.0" tires, 5-speed, and mild mods but no blower or nitrous. If I did the calculations correctly, trapping 100mph would result in either 4800 (3.73) or 5300RPM (4.10) in 4th gear.
3.73 is all ready installed and am curious about going to the 4.10?

Thanks. Searchy no findy. opcorn:

lol since this is bothering you so bad and you already have the 3.73s in why don't you take your car to the track the next time you get (depending on if the track is still open near you) run your car and then change the gears to 4.10s and run it again. TADA!!!!!!!!!!! There will be your answer!!!!!

However I would focus on other mods. Port your intake, get better heads, etc etc.

4.10s are too steep imo.

i rev to 5400 and the car goes past that at a 1/4 so now im regretting the 4.10s

I'd say stay with the 3.73s, especially if you drive the car regularly like me

I'd stick with the 373's for now, as you dont have the top end to take advantage of the 4.10's.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

You're definately looking at it the right way. You should be gearing the car to top out in 4th gear at the end of the track. Honestly, I would go with the 4.10s. They aren't that bad on the street, and the car should go faster.

Thanks guys. It's not a DD, I think I drove it maybe 2,000miles in the last two years, so fuel mileage isn't a big concern.

I found this thread along the same lines.

Hhhmmmm...................

4.10s and don't think twice. For very short dollars you can retard your camshaft timing to move the power up a few hundred RPM as well.
