How they feel on the street could be subjective, but IMO they felt harsh and noisy. Unless you goto a torque arm or almost all heim or spherical joints there is always going to be some preload.
The OP suggests the car will spend most of it's life on the street, which sometimes means all of it's life on the street.
Can you run a drag suspension on the street? Yea, i tried it, it sucked, i had to be 10 times more careful than i did with a handling suspension.
Vibrant is right, it's a soft sloppy mess especially without a sway bar.
I'm sure some people can tolerate it, i just don't see why anyone would want to.
There are no plus's to doing it.
You suggest above that no say bar is ok if you don't drive like an ass.
What exactly are you doing on the street with a drag suspension if you aren't going to drive like an ass?
Me personally i think any powerful car run on the street should have a well rounded suspension. Unpredictable things happen on the street and i think a car should be best suited to handle all situations, not just ones that involve a straight line.
So what you are saying is they ride as good as urethane bushings, are as quiet as bushings and last as long?
Come on, nobody's going to believe that, and rightfully so.
