im looking into buying a mild drag set up for my car i dont take it to strip but maybe once a month so i dont want to kill my ride but i do want to drop my 60ft's i am considering control arms and a set of Lakewood 50/50 drag shocks any suggestions?

Actually get the steeda 10 way adjustable shocks....You will love them! You can set them firm for everyday driving or set them on the lowest setting and watch that 60ft dissapear! On my buddies Cobra he did a base line run with DR's set at 30 psi and road adjustment on the shocks.....ran a 2.06 60 ft.......then dropped the DR's to 15 psi and set the shocks on the lowest setting and was rewarded with a 1.66 60 ft! That my friend translates to a .5 sec drop in 1/2 mile! And still feels like factory with a simple adjustment!

don't forget that halving the tire pressure also played a large role in the reduction of his 60', the shocks alone did not drop him to a 1.66, although im sure they helped...

They run about 350.00 a pair! Pricey but worth it! Believe it or not he only ran 1.76 to 1.82 with the stock rear shock and MT's set to 15 PSI! Getting that center of gravity back helps alot! On a stock suspension the center of gravity is about 5 feet in front of your front bumper! On the softest setting you will feel the rear end squat ALOT! lol
