Seriously thinking about going to the local dragstrip this coming wednesday for the first time.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips/advice for me? I did already by a helmet.

Don't forget to turn traction control off. You can leave the ESC on.

Two things:

1. Take your time. Just enjoy yourself. You don't need to go out there and set the world on fire. Just drive the car like you drive it on the street. The ETs will drop the more comfortable you get.

2. On street tires, a bog is usually faster than a tire spinning launch. Once you spin the tires, the pass is pretty well blown. So try to ease it off the line.

Experiment with tc on and off. I turn mine off. It pulls timing if it detects any spin. Drive around the water box, and just scuff your tires. Burnouts with stock tires = greasy tires that don't hook up.
And relax talk to people at the track, most people are very helpful, and have fun

Leave on the last yellow, don't wait until green. By the time your car gets going, the light will be green.
