Went out for the first time since the supercharger install, had some great weather in the mid 70s-80. Car did really well, ran it exactly how I run it on the street. First pass was a 12.5, second was a 12.3. :hail2:

I am well outta gear with the 4.10s so I had to shut it down early both times - on the second run I dropped another degree of spark into it (19 up top) and held it into 6100 RPM, let off just before I got to the traps.

The 12.3 run got halfway recorded before the camera ran out of memory so you'll have to take my word on it. :)

Timeslip:
60': 1.769
1/8: 7.905
MPH 87.22
1/4: 12.387
MPH: 108.09

that thing is flying. Are you going to change gears? (might could go 11s with 3.73s?)

edit:

I ran a 13.3@105 2.2 60'. My afr is pegged at 7.4 according to logworks , so I believe my maf curve is wrong.

looks like those ets hook good

Those passes were on the Nittos. :)

I'll try the ET Streets next time out -- not sure if I am going to drop the rearend to 3.73 or not - the car is 99.9% street. I see I can get a set of FRPP 3.73s for around $110 + ship. I dunno.

Brett, do you still have the LMAF? Was it pegging with the blowthrough setup? My LMAF curve is in the tune above - it is tweaked for my car and was very close for Sam's car when we put a LMAF on his. Also check my 42lb injector settings and battery offsets.

Wes

Edit: Next question is gonna be 3.73 for $110 + ship - WHERE?

Get Summit to price match:

Edit 2: A lot of my speed comes in how fast I am locking the converter, the stock transmission settings leave a lot of power on the table - see the tune/datalog to see what I mean. I also included tranny temps in the logs too. :nice:

Wes, great times!!!

Before you switch gears, make sure you run on the ET streets first, you may find that their height and the fact that they grow a little on the big end will save you from having to buy new gears.

What height are the m/t's and the drag radials? My drag radials were always 26" tall...if that is your case, moving to a 28" tall tire will help your times without changing gears...Which is what paul was hinting at.

Running the #s on the tires, it looks like the Nittos (275/40/17) are 25.66 in diameter. I'm not sure how running various pressures on them affects the tire at higher track speeds - Paul mentioned the ET Streets grow!

Does a 28" tire fit in the fenderwell? That'd be cool.

Wes

Nice runs. Like said a 28" will fit. Depending on what size you get and what size wheel you might have to ditch the quad shocks (if you haven't already) and/or roll the fender lip. Also, a few companies make some 27" tires. That might fit the bill better than a 28".

Converter says it is locked right where I command it right after the shift into 3rd and it stays there the whole time. I also talked with Andre @ Edge about the converter and he said it would be fine, just stall a bit higher than it did before the supercharger, which seems to be true.

Running the calculations 5800 should be 108mph. I run the Nittos at 18PSI all the time and they sag quite a bit, not sure if that is making it a shorter tire.

Here's my theory...
With an auto, when you are high in the RPMs and let off, it's like shifting to a lower gear in a stick on a coast - the engine brakes you. I was coasting into the traps and I was just chopping the throttle rather than slowly getting out of it like I should or dropping it to neutral and getting off the gas (sorta like pushing the clutch in).

So I would bet that I had a much higher MPH but the engine braking effect slowed me down a good bit between the time I saw 6100 and slammed the throttle shut before I went through the traps.

Am I thinking right or waaay off?
