LOL, you want A/C delete in Houston?

I'm driving mine (almost). It'll be my dream car when I'm done with the driveline stuff anyway.

First off...i agree w/ any a/c delete...i don't believe in it...don't even use it in a new car i drive....i believe in my window cranks...but back on topic...if you want some details here's my little dream ride. it's long but you asked for it.

1966 fastback

-fiberglass G.T.500 hood
-Cobra R front apron
-Shelby sidescoops
-spoilered trunklid
-Shelby rear windows
-R model backglass
-fully functional brake ducting
-kandy cobalt blue(i have the paint code itself but its more viper blue than cobalt w/ the way its mixed)
-bright white leman stripes
-body color rear fiberglass bumper
-3" fender flares
-window tint

interior:
-white/blue pony interior
-Shelby dash mount gauge pod
-race buckets
-full rollcage tied into the frame
-rear seat delete w/ spare tire mount
-5pnt harnesses

-boxed stock upper control arms slightly modified
-adjustable strut rods
-modified lower control arms
-1.75" drop
-aftermarket coils
-koni adjustable front shocks
-bigass front sway bar
-monte carlo bar
-subframes
-coil over rear shocks
-mid-eye 5 leaf springs

engine:
-408 Dominator stroker fully forged bottom end, race prepped block
-205 race AFRs
-super victor jr intake
-950 tuned alchohol injected Race Demon
-lots of other misc crap for a race engine

drivetrain:
-Tremec 5
-Race ready driveshaft(probably denny's I like their services)
-9", detroit locker, 4.11 gear w/ 35 spline axles all race ready

wheels:
-maybe Edelbrock 454s or 409s

That's a brief rundown. I actually have a list of alllllll the components...this is my dream car I intend to build within the next 5 years...I'm keeping my eye open for a shell to start with right now...have some of the parts I need. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

67 FB, red w/ two white stripes. 67 Shelby hood and scoops. 15" rims in back with huge tires and smaller tires up front, producing an obvious rake. Built BB with some kind of custom TT setup.

My 67 coupe with a lot better paint job and less dings in the body, also the 331 stroker that should be coming in a year or two. (OT...no A.C. needed, wouldn't be able to hear the rumble).

I'm with you! There's already a dark (Highland?) Green one in town, tan leather and top; beautiful unrestored original condition. Owner (#2) is the son of the original owner. Then, a red/white/white one moved into town this past February - freshly restored, and it lives just 3-4 blocks from me

A blue one would fit in very well in town; especially in my carport!

Realistically; there's this little Springtime Yellow (black vinyl top, which can just go away!) '67 coupe around the block from me. Original Yuma -that's hot, dry, not-very-rust-producing desert, folks - car. Main problem is a grenaded mess that used to be a motor. I'm thinkin' any 'Stang that could carry an FE block would have no trouble with a Windsor - especially with the 393 stroker kit. MAF EFI, AOD (I stand a better chance of getting it past the wife if it has a slushbox so she can drive it!), disks all around, Shelby drop; general fun stuff

But, 'til then, I'm....
Still Dreamin'

When I was a kid....way back when....I used to go to the library during homeroom and look at all the specialty car books. My favorite and dream car was a 1966 Shelby. I used to look at the pictures of it almost every day.....little did I now that less than ten years later I would actually own one!!!!!!

Getting your dream car is something very special and I feel very fortunate the I have both of mine....the T-Bird and the Shelby. The best part about the Shelby is I bought it when I was 22 so I got to enjoy it while I was young, I have driven it over 50K miles.

Although the list of Mustangs I lust over is very long, if I could call only one my dream car, it's have to be a '70 Boss 429. I always liked the front end of the '70 better, and it'd have to be black!

for me it would be a 77 Mustang II, with the Ghia package, lacy spoke wheels, bronze paint, lime green interior, AM/FM/8 track stereo, with a 2.3 and automatic trans......paradise.

Seriously, it'd be a black '69 Boss 429 with a white interior. I'd do a little engine work to get it running the way it should have run from the factory, stick some subframe connectors under it, and some drag radials. Then I'd go to all the vintage muscle car drags and show 'em who the real Boss is.

OR, would it be a 68 1/2 cobra jet super stock drag car...the ultimate sleeper, running 11.8's on skinny bias ply whitewalls.

Factory stock.... I would have to go with the '69 Boss 429, only because the '70 didn't come in black.

For the new... maybe an '04 Cobra.
