DRIFTING SKILLS

Well either I have no driving skills, or something's p with Ford's E-brake. I can't drift at all in my 94 Moostang, infact, I cal pull the E-brake all the way up (needs 2 people), then jerk the wheel fast to one side, and back tires don't skid at all. What's up with this? I wanna drift in my car, but I can't figure out how. And for everyone who says it's not a ricer, so I shouldn't do that, My friends 01 Firebird does it just fine.

No, Ass dragging is what my dog does on the carpet after he takes a dump, I know how that's done, unfortunatly, human arms aren't strong enough to accomplish that. Now back to drifting. How's that done in a Mustang?

As you enter a turn, begin to push the brake pedal with your left foot as you push the accelerator with your right. This creates more friction on the front wheels and allows the rear wheels to lose traction and slide the rear end out. You have to feather between the brake and the throttle to keep the correct angle that you want to have. This isn't the only way to do it, as there are many. Some drifters do use the E brake to get the rear end to begin it's slide, but who wants to stop the rear wheels if you're trying to get them to spin through the slide.

dude, do you have springs installed on your Mustang? stock springs are no good for drifting. and drifting doesn't requie the hand brake, man. I know, I used to do that on a short set of curves around a casino here. I can't do it in my 04 because the springs are stock and it feels more like skipping than drifting, but in my 2000 i had ford c springs installed and it's a matter of speed and control going into a curve. that's the best way I can explain it. you need a tight suspension.

You obviously have no driving skills. Especially to drive a mustang. Your car has RWD. Pulling the Ebrake will stop the wheels from spinning completely (which in this case you shouldnt do so you can 'drift' longer). You just need to go into a turn fairly quick, and then jerk the wheel hard and romp the gas all the way down so you accelerate into a hard turn and I can gaurantee your back wheels will lose traction and start sliding.

yea this is gay. but to answer your question you dont use brakes to drift. it takes horsepower (the more the better), the right tires, and suspension. now lock this biotch up
