I was just wondering if anyone knew about how you would go about setting up a 94-95 stang up for drifting? I have always thought it is a sweet sport and may try set up a drift car project.

You need a really good rear suspension. Panhard bar and torque arm. Mustangs didn't drift in D1 until the '05, I believe partly because the stock 4-link fox suspension is just about the worst when it comes to controlling a car in a drift due to its poor lateral control of the axle.

Lol Nobody is right.... You need your suspension hard and stiff.. LOL still talking about the suspension.. I tried drifting mycar a couple of times and once the tires are heated up it goes pretty good.. But my suspension need to be tighter because the car started pinching real hard in the turns..

i love drifting...tremendous skill involved....but just brutal on tires ....go for it

First off... this is like asking a bunch of hockey players for advice on purchasing figure skates.

I dont know much about it... I DO know that you have to give your front tires a lot of negative camber while your rear tires should be straight up. The negative camber in the front causes your tires to bite in the twisties which combined with the straight up rear tires will induce skid.

And you need a very solid rear setup. Try a locker-type differential with a healthy rear end ratio. You want to induce wheel spin so a limited slip will limit you.

I dont want to say more then that because I don't want to spread misinformation... I'd try import forums as they have put much more time and research into it.

I'm not sure why the old conservative american mustang crowd is so severe about drifting. Drifting in empty parking lot is very lame, but drifting and building a track car for legal circuit is fine, not everyone likes to always go straight.

You all just rented tokyo drift didnt ya...... It looks like fun, and there seems to be quite a bit of skill involved. This will be interesting.

I want to set up my mustang to get the best gas mileage, braking and for towing purposes and low end torque. Does anyone know how I can go about hooking the solar panels to the roof in the most aero dynamic fashion?

I'd look into a Bully Dog and a Jake-Brake - your milage while towing will be outstanding. You'll want to convert the exhaust to dual smokestacks.

Oh, obviously you will want to reinstall the stock 4x4 springs.

Just joking. Maybe it will catch on? eh..not 4 me but if I did, ..I'd prob go get some junk yard tires though rather than going through good tires.
