craziest story is of the guy who a couple years ago t boned and killed a family of 4 and there were no signs of him slowing, he kept saying his gas pedal got stuck in his toyota, he did 3 years in jail, then when these recals came out they let him out right away
I work at the local Toyota here, all the gas pedal fix is is a shim that is inserted into the gas pedal. It takes like 10 minutes to fix lol

I still don't understand why people can't put the car in neutral, turn of the ignition, push the e-brake or worse slam it into reverse or park to stop a collision.

Granted a lot of them there isn't time, but c'mon cruising down the highway - you can't stop the car? what are they terminator toyotas bent on the destruction of mankind????

My sister has a Lexus. I asked her what would you do if your gas pedal sticks and you can't stop?? She didn't have a clue.
I actually had to take her out in the car and show her how to shift up to Nuetral.
