I have a had a couple people tell me i should use a new Driveshaft instead of a spacer for my TKO... Were would i get one or is it gonna be a waste of money?

D&D offer custom driveshafts for the small amount of 499 bucks... VS a 40 dollar spacer?

Anybody had problems with the spacers?

after getting off the phone with Walt from Pro Motion, I feel much more confortable with the idea of the spacer..

If you want to know exactly what your in for with any driveline/rear end part walt is your man... He went into great detail on everything i ended up ordering from him and gave me names of local drag racers that i know using the prodects in Real street competition.

Good move calling Walt! I've been dealing with him recently for my clutch needs and tranny issues and he has really helped me out. I'm running the clutch setup he uses in a lot of the real street cars and I am more than impressed with it. I have a custom length aluminum DS sitting in my garage that came off a buddies 95 cobra R with a TKO, but I have yet to install it. It was made by dynotech, I'm not sure where they are located. Right now I'm running the stock length FMS aluminum DS with the 5/8" spacer and I haven't had any problems so far. Are you going with a complete setup from Walt? I want one of his pro shifted G-force T5's SO BAD!!! They have 16lbs less rotating mass than my TKO!!!

I ordered my tranny from XTC and then i orded the everything else off him like the clutch, spacer, yoke, etc. Im gonna end up with like 2500 in the complete swap...

1600 tanny
329 clutch
82 for yoke (stronger then standard one)
189 alumunium bellhousing (didn't want to deal with clearance for long tubes)
80 quadrant kit
89 for extened hd clutch fork
59 for spacer
+ shipping
__________
$2500+ OUCH!!!!

Could have gotten a complete T-56 kit that price i think...

I know i could have saved some money shopping around. :bang:

ever seen the results of a clutch disc (or substitute favorite part) after it's exited an aluminum bellhousing?

Oh Crap!!! I just ordered some Mac longtube headers. I'm going to be putting them in this winter along with my TKO, but I didn't check to see if they'll work with the lakewood housing.

Hey moneypit, do you have the number of this guy you talked to?? Where is he located at? Thanks.

Walt is located in Florida. His number is:
800-771-6843 or 954-771-5575. I HIGHLY recommend his quick release clutch quadrant. I ordered it with my clutch and its light years ahead of the old one I used to run.
