Hi all, I am having some door alignment issues. Long story short, an number of years ago, the door was hit while open and the door was replaced. My issues are, the top of the door does not close as tightly and the bottom of the door. I replaced the upper door hinge thinking that would fix my issue but, it did not. I will be replacing the bottom hinge as well but I don't think it will fix this alignment issue of this door. Is there a way to "pivot" the door so it will look even? Check out my pics...

My EX wife backed out of the garage with the door open and hit the wall with it... Despite multiple events at different body shops it never worked the same again....... I sure miss her....

What likely has happened is the area below the windshield where the door hinge mount has been twisted, the shim under the lower door hinge my work.
The issue could also be the door itself as it would have been from another car (or OEM/aftermarket replacement). Either way, because of the misalignment along the door bottom and lower part by the quarter made me think to try shimming the hinge out a bit.

When the door is good at the quarter panel, you may need to readjust at the fender as well.

I've thought about it being the door. I bought it used and could have come from anywhere. I'm going to put my money on shimming the bottom door hinge and see how that works out. I bought a door installer that has made my life so easy taking the door on and off. Thanks for the pointers, I just want it to look good!
