driveshaft angle question

I am completely rebuilding my car and I am planning to completely disregard the stock mounting points on everything. I will move the engine and tranny back several inches to get better weight distribution as well as a more comfortable grip on the shifter. I realize that this will probably mean cutting the firewall but that will be done anyway. The ride height will be quite low meaning that I will be fitting some 315s inside the fenders. Am I going to run into problems with drive shaft angle because by current measurements, the driveshaft (custom built to spec) will be at almost no angle to the transmission? If there is any problems with this, please post your thoughts, thanks

i think you want about 2-3* downward on the rear of the driveshaft so when the torque is applied and it wants to move upward it will be at 0*(level).Just my guess

The 4 link will be tuned to provide down force through torque so Im not worried about that, I am just worried about u joint binding or something

My chassis book says 5-7 degrees nosedown for standard leaf spring,
3-5 degrees nosedown for Leaf-link
2 degrees nosedown for 4-bar link
1 degree nosedown for single pivot ladder bar
The idea being a straight driveline with pinion on launch.

can anybody recommend some good chassis reading. I would like to get a book but webpages are ok too, thanks

Two things that solved my long, and expensive, issue with driveshaft vibrations:

¤ Always invest in Billet yokes (especially the one on the rear axle). Do NOT go with the cast Spicer stuff..

¤ Make sure u-joint angles are 1-3 degrees, & within 1 degree from one another (see better description in link).
