I need a new driveshaft for the mustang, i threw the 2.3L away. I was just wondering if a stock 5.0 driveshaft will fit my combo. I have a C6 connected to the 408w. Any help would be great, thanks.

Ok so no one knows... Would anyone be willing to give me a measurement from the back of the tranny to the rear end flange? Thanks

Not a lot of guys running the C-6. I would try the stock DS and see where you end up.

I don't want to buy it not knowing it will fit at all, then go through the hassle of returning and all the nonsense. I know iv seen people on here with C6's and 351w combo. If all else fails, Ill take it to advance drivelines in Orlando and get a custom length one made for it.

spent 17yrs building driveshafts...go to your local driveshaft shop and have one made.......your old shaft might haved worked if u still have it,it most likely was too long and could have been shortened..dont frown a driveshaft replacement is easier than a tire replacement

I can't answer you question directly...

But the 351w isn't going to change the driveshaft length, as compared to a 302.
You can expand you search to people with a 302 C-6 setup.

That may help
may not

150.00 too much?

depending how much you want to drive your car?????????????if it were me i would go for the shaft...our shop was in central nj,,i would have charged you 125.00 with the use of your trans yoke for a reconditioned shaft//around 90.00 to shorten and balance your old shaft..these prices are for a steel shaft..alum would be more .time wise to make shaft is around a hour/with talking about your car for 30 min
