Let's hear from all you experienced Mustang Drivers:

I need some tips ---

I have an 06 MANUAL with a Roush Supercharger, 4.10 gears, Short-throw, upgraded performance clutch and new lowered Roush suspension and pretty beefy BFG KD's. Probably pushing 445 hp at the crank and 384 at rwhp.

How do you do the COOLEST burnout?

My tires don't seem to smoke much doing a burnout, is it the type of tire, or do I need to do something differently?

What is Speed Shifting?

What is slipping the clutch at launch mean?

Why can't I spin the tires in 2nd then 3rd?

I was told with 4.10's that dropping down from 5th to 4th at 75mph there was a possibility I would break the tires loose. I can't even come close... am I doing something wrong ????

I love my stang, but thought with these mods I'd be having a little more seat of the pants fun. Maybe I'm just sick with power and can't get enough.

I want to hear from all of you Mustang enthusiasts on how to have more fun !!

Sounds like you have been given some false hopes by whomever is delivering you your information. Your not going to go from 5 to 4th in a 500hp car and break the tires loose let alone the 445 your running.

Your tires are not smoking alot because of compound type and wheel spead. Start the burnout in first and then shift to 2nd, you'll now have plenty of smoke.

Speed shifting / power shifting is shifting without lifting your foot off the gas pedal.

Why would you want to spin the tires in 2nd and 3rd? Seems your complaining about having traction and the rest of us are complaining about getting any at all.

I never tried this. Usually when I shift hard, i take my foot off the gas. Can you go into this a little more? Are there any negative side effects on your car if you do this?

It's done to reduce et's, no other reason. Lack of granny shifting gets you to the traps faster than the guy next door.

It's hard on the car no question. Poor timing can net grinding gears, missing a shift and or hurting syncros.

Car will never be up for sale, and my proactive maintenance is second to no ones regardless.. You simply can't play hard without doing so.

I wouldn't expect the clutch to last too long powershifting either. fastblueroush, if you are looking to make more smoke and have fun doing burnouts, its tough to beat doughnuts, they make plenty of smoke.

Install line locks.

Emay, last November just after installing the Whipple at 470rwhp In the cool weather I could downshift from 5th to 4th at 75 mph and spin uncontrollably with 4.10's which is why the 4.10's had to go for street driving. It won't do that now with the stock 3.55's back in the car and I'm sure it wouldn't have done that with 4.10's and warmer weather.
