dual exhaust question

If i get dual exhaust on my 6 do I have to get a gt bumper? my friend was sayin that i did. Also if I get dual exhaust whats the best kind to get? And if i did buy a new bumper would it fit on my v6, wit the dual exhaust? sorry for all the questions, i'm just a kid who knows nothin bout cars, and lookin for guidance. Thanks again.

You don't have to get a GT bumper. You can simply rig the hangers to drop the tailpipes under the bumper, by using longer bolts.

Most people say the GT bumper looks better, but to me it's too much money for something that adds two little slots and zero HP.

What is the reason he says you need a new bumper? Yah, the guy above just proved it.

The Mac dual exhaust is probably your best bet. I bought mine from the StangNet Partshopper, only problem is this: sold out so they had to backorder em

After reading a lot of the posts, I'd say most people will recommend the Mac duals, or to have a custom true dual. As for bumper, no, you don't need it. Only way you would need it is if you got an exhaust system made for the GT, or you got GT takeoffs.
