Bump! I want to know the same, but for the passenger side, but not to hide wires.

I'll bump you.

Here goes... if I forget anything someone can help!

First things first take the inner fender out. There should be a few plastic clips and a few screws holding it in. For the fender there are a good deal of bolts. Along the front of the fender where it meets the bumper there are a good 5-6+ bolts. You have to go in from the bottem and get them out. Then 3 bolts in the engine bay, 1 bolt on the very bottem back of the fender and one hidden bolt. The hidden bolt you have to open the door and go in though where the door moves away from the fender (right at the top). Then the fender pops off. For the passenger side the antenna just unclips after you get the fender off.

FWIW you can hide wires (and the solenoid too) without taking it off. Might be a pain to do that and line it back up (I've heard of people having trouble putting it back right, but have no experience myself).
