yesterday i took my tail pipes off(dont ask why). any way the exhast ends right after the mufflers. the sound is bad ass. Am i loosing any power from doing this???

ive heard you loose some torque because of a loss of backpressure. on my 67 i had my exhaust runnin out the back till i re-did it and had it dumped. i lost alot of low end torque but it made more power at about 5-6k rpms. could have been from my valvetrain goin out, but it was still noticible. it sure sounds nice to have dumps when youre in the car....you cant hear s h i t
