Duraspark module ?

I dont know how old mine is and i was wondering how can you tell if its going bad like weak spark so on ? The one there now someone cut the plugs off and hard wired it with solderless connectors dont know why its like that bought that way....Im having carb problems but i also think it might be some igntion type problem to like maybe a bad module? thats why i was asking how can i tell if it was going bad?

I believe they either work or don't work...period. Otherwise they're virtually indestructible. I would agree that an MSD6AL is much better, but not to the point that the Duraspark is a "piece of crap".

One super cheap and very effective alternative is to convert over to a GM/HEI ignition module, which can be bought for about $17 and puts out just as much spark as an MSD.
