dynoed my car today - 264rwhp/280rwtq, and with that i ran 12.8@106mph a month ago

95 gt with 3.73s.

also, before HCI upgrade i had 222rwhp/278rwtq, and ran 14.0@96mph.

so after all these upgrades i only got 2 pounds of torque more than before ? i was told to use 89 computer and get a kit from pro-m to use it in mine, does it work ? i was told it should be much better that way.

btw - i have gt-40 alum heads/E303/1.72rr/TFS track heat intakes. 70mmtb/75mm mass/cai - long tubes/h with cats/mac catback.
190lph /w adj reg using stock 19lbs.

tell me what u guys think ? healthy or not ?

i honestly want to squeeze out just a little more out of this thing without major mods, i want about 300 at the wheels and i'd be happy.

thanks

Thats a VERY decent mph for only 264rwhp. What kind of dyno was it?

And I wouldnt worry so much about the tq. A 302 naturally aspirated is only going to make so much torque. Noone ever complains about it being low on torque, even stock. Its just that the the torque curve falls off a cliff at 4000 rpm. By making 40rwhp more you are basically extending the tq curve higher in the rpm range, thus allowing for more power and more work to be done (which is what hp is). I'd worry more about your track times & trap speed than the dyno numbers, which are peak only. Compare the hp & tq curves to someone making 300rwhp and see if yours is stronger down low. That could be why its so quick but doesnt make the magical 300. :nice:

Yep, I completely agree. You basically bumped your shift point from 5000 to 5600 rpm's (Complete guess, but should be close). That extra range means you can stay in each gear longer, which is why you did well at the track.

That q/m time is extremely good for your hp/tq. Can you post a dyno graph? I would love to see it!
