DYNO Results

So I got the Stang Dyno'd today. Pretty happy -pulled 276 HP and 269 TQ at the wheels. Air/fuel ratio was 11.5:1 so it's running a little rich and I will be able to gain some decent power from tuning; he also thinks my timing is to far advanced (its at 12 deg.) The funny thing is, I just put new needles in the carb to make it richer- thats what I get for guessing!

Either way I should be right about 300RWHP when all is said and done-which was my goal....... for now at least.

I dont have the print out yet and I forgot to write down what RPMs I made my peak at (his printer jammed two cars before mine), I won't get that till next week sometime. All mods are listed below & on my webpage.

No they didn't tune it, this was part of group dyno day that I put together with 10 other cars, the deal was two pulls for $55. A dyno tuning session around here would cost about $130 first hour then $100 for second then $75 from there. I am pretty capable of tuning it myself, now that I was able to see my air/fuel ratio and power curve.

what shocks do you have in the car ? I have the same suspension and my car is to darn stiff. I will probably go to some drag shocks. BTW are you going to the stallions gate car show this weekend. I may bring my car up.

I have KYB's -the white ones- the car is stiff but my other car is a '92 Corvette, so I am acustomed to that kind of ride and actually prefer it that way.

The stallions gate car show is Saturday afternoon right? If it is I will probably swing buy but I doubt I will register. I know for sure I am going to the Elmhurst show wednesday night and the Lombard show saturday night. My mustang club meets over at Lombard, you should come by.
