-Electric fan/removed original

-High performance cam .540 lift .260 duration
-Trick flow roller rockers 1.7to1
-Trick flow twisted wedge heads
-Auburn posi rear end with 3.25 gears
they guys at the shop were telling me that my car is waaay too small it is pulling like 2.5 in of vac. from like 3500 rpm and almost 3 at 5500rpm. and yeah it is a stock bore and stroke on the thing and a stock tranny

good #'s thoughrich you know of anyone else here in town that has some wheels? i need to get some the ones i have are hideous...

yeah the heads help..... I know this from vw racing, but ring seal is the concern with me right now. Heads make the package alright, put a big arse cam in there without em and it'll fall on its face. With 255rwhpalmost 300rwtq low 13s should be no problem at all assuming he can get it hooked up.Rumble said:

cool numbers. i think your engine has more potential too! I know you wouldnt want to do this, but comp cams would suggest a little better cam and rocker ratio. I think you might be a little overcammed...especially with the big rockers.

Comp cam (not sure which model, but equivalent to the one that comes with the Edelbrock Perf. RPM package)
Crane roller rockers
Edelbrock performer RPM heads
Edelbrock air gap intake
Edelbrock 650 carb
Hooker comp headers
MSD Pro Billet Distributor
MSD wires
posi with 3.88 gears
Is all this stuff about equivalent to what youve got? Just looking to see what mine might put down.

I have stock bore on my block. if you are 40 over i dont have a clue....
I dont know if I am over cammed i still need to post the graphs, but they are in the car and it isnt at my house..... If i had a bigger carb i would get another 20 hp out of in no questions. they told me to run a 700-725 with the amount of vaccum that i was pulling from 3500 on

what cam are you running? is the .540 lift with the 1.7's or 1.6's? Whats the duration #'s at .05? Either way I dont think your over cammed. your motor needs ALOT more air if your pulling vacuum at WOT, the heads are asking for more air. I could see you makin upwards of 280+rwhp/310+rwtq, most likely more still.

like has been said, i dont think your overcammed. There is definitely another 20 horses at the wheels left in that combo, and more torque to boot
