take the 30 lb inj out for some 19's or at the most 24's and trade the x cam for an e or tfs stage 1, with your combo the numbers you put down are really weak but its kind of mismatched so thats understandable

Kind of expect more HP, but its not too bad either. I don't know how much a TFS-1 cam would help you. I'd probably swap the heads out before changing the cam.

That's a pretty large cam for that setup, what does the powerband look like and where is the peak hp and torque?

I've driven the car and I can tell you that though it is a little soft down low, it pulls extremely hard up high. This is an EASY low 12s car. The other foxes that have been on the same dyno had similar mods.....what are the odds of all of them being mismatched? I'd like to see the outcome on a different dyno. Can anybody here post difference in #s on a dyno jet and a mustang dyno? Sorry, "airbag" not trying to steal your thread.

In my opinion, the heads and injectors are too big for what you got at this point. Instead of taking things off why not add a blower, and use all that big stuff you got under the hood. then you may be just right.

Sounds like the dyno is a little rough on the mustangs to me. You're a bit mismatched but should be making fine HP when you get to the top RPM portion, and should be peaking at or just over 300. I would look at A/F, but if other simular moded cars are putting down the same numbers...I'd be looking for another dyno for my REAL RW numbers.

Similarly set up cars (aftermarket heads, cam, intake, TB, Mass air) usually will see about 300whp. Your injectors are way too big. 19# are fine. If you start dealing with boost thats when you really need to step up in injector size.
And the heads do seem a little big for a street car with a 306...generally speaking.
Did the dyno shop give have an a/f ratio reading?

Do you have exhaust on the car? Its not in your sig.

As mentioned, did you get to tune the car? What is timing and FP set at?

And FWIW your heads are fine. They are not too big. I have ported Edelbrocks on my car and they flow as much or more than the RPM heads(they dont flow as much as people must think).

I'm with Tom on this one. Along with the A/F Ratio.

exhaust consists of flowtech shorties no cat h pipe flowmaster mufflers no tail pipes. the air/fuel was great between 12-14:1. timing is at 13*. it took 50lbs of fuel pressure to get the air/fuel to be right. at 38lbs fuel it was 16-18:. first run 16* and 38lbs fuel it made 245 hp. third pull 13* and 50 lbs it made 259.7 hp.

Your pressure IMO is WAY to high at 50psi for 30 pound injectors with your combination....something is definately sounding mixed there.

First off, edelbrock rpm heads are very similar to TW's and afr 165's as far as flow and performance. So no need to mess with changing them.
Not sure why some guys above say they are too small and other say they are too big, they are really just right.

Second, not sure why anyone would tell him to use 19's, because his car should be about 300rwhp which 19's are too small for.

With 30's the fuel pressure should of probably been in the low 30's psi, 50lb's is nuts.

did you say if this is a mustang dyno or dynojet?

If this is a mustang dyno, i wouldn't be so worried, those would be fair to good numbers.

Get the injector setup straightened out and go back. You may not need to downsize them, just get the pressure straight.

That sounds like something with the maf and injectors is not jiving imo, or either the tuner doesn't know what he is doing. What was the a/f at 38 psi on the first run?

hard to see, but here is his dyno chart. Looks like torque peaks out at about 3700 and hp peaks around 4600.View attachment 43910

I think something is up with the MAF. Is it calibrated for 30lb injectors? Who makes it? If you have to run 50psi to get a decent A/F ratio with 30lb injectors somethings going on with the duty cycle of the injectors. Have you thought about getting a tune?

Your car should be making quite a bit more than that, my engine makes more than that with thumper heads, speed density, and 19lb injectors.
