Finally went to a dyno today. On my final run, after tweaking my A/F with my remote optimizer, I got 277rwhp (stayed there from 5000-5500rpm). My peak torque was 313 @ 4200 rpm. My A/F ratio was pretty constant with a low of 13.1 and high of 15.0 . My A/F at peak HP was 13.5. The temperature was 75 degrees and elevation was near sea level (San Diego). This was done on a Dynojet.

So do you guys think I can hang with a Mach 1? I'm thinking it would be a driver's race.

Personally i think you would take the Mach, not by alot but i think you would win.. You have 3.73s, Shifter, SFCs, and a little bit more tire than a mach. And 277 is about close to Mach territory on the HP numbers it will be close tho

Thanks for the replies. You're right about area under the HP curve- a Mach will have this advantage since it has 1000 more RPM of usable power. But the weight advantage of my GT will help me out. Should be a close race....

Nice numbers, it would be close.. And you'd give that Mach owner a surprise no doubt..

Mine dyno'd at 289/312.. But the difference isnt very much.. Only time you'd get blown out by another car is if you are a sucky driver or the other car has a 30+ RWHP advantage..

Nice #'s :nice: Also depends on what kind of Mach you are racing. For some reason there are automatics out there lol. There was one in the new issue of MM&FF that was dyno'ed for something and it didnt break 260 at the wheels  Talk about power robbing geez. Im hoping to be at your #'s by the end of this month. I should have my Accufab TB/Plenum Combo ordered next week

NO, you power could put you deep into 12's with the proper suspension, tires, Gear, and a little weight reduction.

the siffer bullitt susp. isn't going to help you drag racing, going to 4.1 or 4.3 gear can help you get a nice jump out of the hole (with DR's) and wieght is every car's enemy.
I say no. right now, but you have the power to do it.

Or like what has been said before you can beat up on an auto mach :)

You could give a bone stock mach a good run, I think it would be up to the driver.

My car bone stock put down 279HP 300TQ and it weighed 3378 without driver and a full tank of gas. (everything was in the car including spare).

I ran a best of 13.5 @104 stock with only a K&N drop in filter....

I think you'd give a Mach 1 a run for their money. My friend with an '03 GT with almost exactly all the bolt-ons you have (minus LTs) and 4.10 gears runs with me pretty well. We raced from a stop a couple of times and sometimes he would take me and some times I would take him, but it mostly depended on the launch though because if I would get ahead he couldn't catch me and that was when I was stock. I think you'd be able to take one though. :nice:

You put down some great number, but man just go to the track and run the thing.
Enough "forum racing".
Just run the heck out of it, come back and post your numbers and then compare YOUR 1/4 mile times to other people.

I got it dyno'd at The Dyno Shop in Santee.

I will eventually race a Mach- just can't right now. I broke my right wrist, so I have to reach over and shift with my left hand!!!!
Oh ok very cool. There's a Dyno Day at JBA on the 26th..No club involved, just a bunch of local Ford/Mustang people. You're welcome to show up if you want and just shoot the ****. The dyno costs 35 bucks for 2 pulls (back to back) and the A/F prinouts, if you want to dyno your car (again).
