Dyno Tune

What exactly gets "Tuned", during a dyno tune? I thought that it was the MAF, but now I am completely unsure.

Air/fuel mixture will be optimized
Bump timing too if you want but mainly the a/f.

Air/Fuel ratio, shift points if the car is a automatic, I believe there is more so someone else chime in.

It can be the MAF being compensated for larger injectors, timing, A/F ratio, shift points (automatic), higher redline or none at all, different tire sizes, gear ratio, etc.

Your tuner should be able to tell you what he/she has the capability of doing. I recommend you talk to them personally and see what kind of software and tuning method they use.
