the smallest size inlets they have for the bullets is 2.5", but isnt the stock catback tubing 2.25"? if it is, should i use spacers, or a peice of reducer pipe to accomodate the change? lastly, before buying the mufflers, will i need to order any piping? just wondering because the stock mufflers have off center outlets and inlets, so i dont know if the the bullets will reach the stock tubing locations.

kind of. whoever told me stock cat back tubing was 2.5" was wrong, it is 2.25. so i had to go buy reducers and clamp those to the mufflers. with the reducers, it added about 2" of piping per muffler, which worked out great. mufflers were short one inch, and too large for stock piping.

Glad things worked out for you. I was the one that told you the stock catback was 2.5 because it is, my '89 is bone stock at the moment, and it is 2.5 stock, my cousin (UnderPressureGT)'s was 2.5 stock when he bought his 3 years ago. When I was talking to one of the Mustang Specialists at VALLEY PERFORMANCE in Belleville about doing my exhaust and the mufflers I ordered had 3'' inlet and outlet so he said I would need Exhaust Adapters since the STOCK cat-back is 2.5''. So maybe yours wasn't stock and it was 2.25, or maybe it really is 2.5 and someone made a mistake. My cousin that I mentioned above had Dynomax Race Bullets that fit right up to the 2.5. I don't want to start anything by saying this, just stating what I know to be fact. Once again, glad to hear everything worked out for you. Later, Jeff.
