E-303 vs Steeda

Ok, Im narrowing down the list of componets I want for my HCI swap in december, the only problem is the camshaft. I cant decide between the E-303, Steeda #18, and Steeda #19. Ive heard some people who love the E303, others who say it sucks. Ive heard that the Steeda 18 is good, but the Steeda 19 is better for the 94-95 EEC. With all this talk, i am very confused, I would like the opinions of all you guys on here, I think it would be more helpful, so any feedback? please????

Stock cam with 1.7 RR will work just fine. From what I've read on here the gt-40p heads don't flow much more past 500 lift. So the stock cam with 1.7 RR will work just fine and no idling/surging problems that is common with a cam swap.

I agree the lift on the E cam is not much more than the stock cam .444 vs .498 Not hardly worth the hastle of swapping IMO. Stock cam 1.7 roller rockers and the right heads will make a mean street car and emissions will be no problem.

The ecam may basically have a bigger lift, but what does a set of rockers cost? Besides, check the lsa and duration vss stock, heck, vss cobra. It's basically one step up from the cobra, and barely emissions legal.
I don't know the specs on the steeda cams, but they're prolly somewhere in the sticky's

Why not go with an entire trick flow kit or holley systemax all matched pieces cant be a bad way to go? As you can see I have the #19 all I can tell you is it was in the car when I bought it. The cam has a nice lope at idle but I don't think its quite right for my personal tastes because the car is kinda like a light switch at around 3000-3500 rpms under that the car sounds like its going somewhere but you dont feel it then when those rpms come around BAWOOSH hold on! I'm not sure if thats the info you are looking for but oh well.

I have the Gt40P heads with the Cobra intake and I went with the Steeda #19 cam. You still have idling issues with a #19 cam. I have to idle at 900 rpm to keep it from stalling. The stock cam with the 1:7 RR isn't a bad idea. The only thing that you may miss is loping idle.

I choose the 19 for the EEC issues...Cam does work well....its mild, but you can tell its got one...got a decent idle to it...I run just the stock EEC
Mine idles around 650-700 and that seems to work...you'll prolly have to mess with it some...I did and got it decent now...rarely has fits..
I also needed to run longer PRs....stockers with Scorpions wouldn't work....I run Thumper heads with double springs on mine...I got like 9 runs on the car and to date 13.6 @102 is what its worth...2.0 60s with street tires...

Low end you will lose some grunt...bout 2800 it starts coming around...best to run 373s with it, they work better than 355s with the cam...the mid-range is where it really shines to me...mine pulls like crazy in 3rd/4th...got lots of pull once the revs come up...

Mine was 220.00 shipped....
