E-cam and speed density?

Is it doable? Just wondering if it's absolutely necessary to convert to mass air?

mine generally doesn't surge at all..nice and smooth....maybhe i was lied to (though I do have a receipt for a cam..just doesn't say which one)

with that lift shouldnt be a problem.

It's not the lift that drives the SD system crazy, it's the duration and the extra air flow that does it....Just like you can change heads and intake and put headers on but your gonna have a problem as soon as you change that stock cam.

I ran 11.90's with an e303 cam and speed density. it surged a little but not bad. 3/16D hole in butterfly valve, correct tps setting/ fuel pressure/injectors helps.

i have an e-cam and speed density...it runs pretty smooth there is once in a while a small surge.
