well I got every other mod but cam and heads...

I dont got 1000 dollars for heads... and I dont want to go the cheap route and get explorer heads and port em out..

so I was wondering would a E cam benefit my combo? I'd upgrade springs and maybe throw in some rockers... but would I get any gains? and Would it shift up my powerband? thats what I'm going for with the Typhoon intake..

how much would it cost? what rockers should I look into getting?

I wouldn't do a cam on stock E7's. You won't see much gain and that is alot of work for minimal gains. The stock cam is a good cam for stock heads.

well im actually planning on taking my stock heads out and getting them rebuilt and ported, new springs and roller rockers, and using a trick flow stage one cam, ive heard you can expect gains up to 30-40hp doing that, plus it wouldnt cost too terribly much...

i heard this and that would not be enough for me and all that work for a cam swap alone is not worth it,and also explorer heads have bigger valves wich is way better than stock.

Also the Explorer heads (GT40-P's) are not bad heads. There are lots of people out there making 260-270 rwhp and 330 lb-ft of torque with P heads and the stock HO cam - with the rest of the system upgraded to (int/exh).

yea but with the GT40P's u have to buy new headers from ford because the spark plug holes get covered or something by the stock ones. u will need new plugs too, denso iridium are good plugs that wont blow out so u will gain some more revs in ur motor as well with a good ignition.
