e7heads FIT ON AN E6 BLOCK WITH FLAT TOPS?

will i have to flycut the stock 1986 flat top pistons since they have no reliefs in them,,i want to put some e7 heads,,,will the compression be too high?? the block is roller cammed,,,thanks

How big of a lift is you cam? Compression will be fine.

It's really not a good idea to assume anything, you really should check the clearance.

That said, I didn't check the clearance and I've had no issues, compression doesn't move up all that much.

Seriously though, it worked for me and I was lucky, not wise.

Be smarter and check your clearance.

ALWAYS check the clearance, but enough people have done it for it to work... I have even heard of flat tops, and milled E7s!

Yes i have heard that some have done it and others have not been able to. Just check the clearence before you fire it up.

if you stay with the stock cam you will be fine

You will be fine. E7 any stock HO cam just don’t go aftermarket cam w/out clearance check. The reason I know this is I have a 88 thunderbird and I frequent a t-bird site and this is constantly brought up for HO conversions.
