Hey guys. I'm basically wondering whats the easiest way to tell if my car has a chip or not. I'm thinking it might because i dunno bout the 01+ GT's but im pretty sure the 99-00's had a governor....Well, lets just say i don't think mine does. I had it up to 143-144 the other night headed home on a long stretch of I-10 and also i don't believe i have my rev limiter (BTW, whats the stock rev limiter set at?) Isn't there somewhere i can look and see? Thanks

The GT's with the 17 inch wheels don't have a speed limiter. You can check for a chip by removing the EEC and see if someone put one on.

Are you running 87 or 92 octane gas? I would say that if your able to run regular unleaded without any "pinging", you don't have a chip or tune. Pearl02.
