Easiest way to clean up and paint rearend?

Anyone know my best bet for cleaning up and painting a rearend thats on my car? IM guessing probally sanding? Its got your normal surface crud and rust on it.

My last mustang, I completely removed (putting in leafs) and when it was out, i used a heated pressure washer on it. That thing blew all the old crud right off and i could even see the chalk marks that used to be there. I highly suggest it, and then paint it!!

It worked for me anyway! Hope this helps.......

Have someone else to it! J/K Remove that sucker, pressure wash, media blast if necessary, then paint to preference.
