easiest way to replace rear vert. shocks

im replacing my rear shocks in my 90 vert. and i wana no the easiest to change them??

when i try to loosen the top bolt the whole thing spins, so it wont come loose, tried holding it with pliers, but its a pain and it aint working??

all answers would be appreciated

Get vice grips to lock on the shock then it should stop spinning and remove the bolts.

where do i lock the vice grips to??

outside of the car or insinde the car??

I've foudn the easiest way was to put a smaller wrench on the flats on top of the shock and use an open end wrench on the nut to break it free. It requires two hands, but once it's broken free you can go to a ratchet or whatever other type of setup you want.
