Saw this ad on Ebay and I'm wondering if these can actually be used on 5.0 engines like the ad says.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Eato...ewItemQQcategoryZ33741QQitemZ8049517399QQrdZ1

Anyone on here know if it's possible?

No, the Cobra's have a larger one. I think a 112 C.I., whereas this one is 90 C.I. and came on SuperCoupe's & alot of GM cars. I ran one of these on my old Ranger. There's a guy in the Fox section that has one of these mounted on the passenger side. Nice clean setup.

You can mount it one of two ways. You will either ditch the upper and have a "custom" intake-to-blower adapter made ..... or you can keep the upper/lower & remote mount the blower (like the guy with the Fox did).

No prob bro, I have his site in my favorites. Just in case I get some sort of fabrication bug... Hell, I already relocated my battery to the trunk, just in case I decide I want a single turbo where the battery was

I figured that the distributor would interfer with mounting the supercharger on the intake manifold.

I had an M90 setup all fabbed up and on my car this past summer, but took it off due to the fact that the blower needed to be rebuilt. The way mine was done I used a box upper intake (Downsford) so that the blower could sit to the right side of the intake on a plate that bolted to the coil bracket. The air filter was then behind the blower, the air discharged out the top, down and around towards the passenger side and into the TB. It was sweet setup, but I nor my buddy doing most of the fabbing had the time to finish it.

Seeing as my car has a 5.0L with an M90, I'd have to say its possible.
I'm making around 430 at the crank with my H/C/I + M90
Thats my site further up in the thread....

How do you guys think the 03 04 cobra blower would do on the top end? What if it was ported?

They would do great, but you'd need to make a custom intake if you wanted to mount it right on top of the engine.
