The lips on these wheels don't look correct, do they? Maybe it is just me?

Those are the correct hoops for the Stern FaceII three-piece-wheel.

Which I assume is different than the Saleen/Stern 3pc wheel?

I always thought the correct 3pc Stern lips looked like this:

Not like this, which is what the car in the auction has?

Nah,

and don't worry, I know where you are going with this. hee hee.

The "rolled" lip wheels were not the hoops that Saleen bought for the S/C 93 cars and the SA-10's.

The lip on the bottom wheel is correct. I know the actual guy who brought in the original sets for Steve.

I would be proud to display either of those on my car but then my new center caps wouldn't fit. LOL

Once again Marcus is correct. The Stern wheels used by Saleen had the flat face lip vs. the rolled lip. They are similar to the Speedline 17" wheels that Saleen offered through their parts division.

So am I correct in saying that the pictures of the yellow car were correct for SC and SA10 applications and the black Ebay car has lips correct for all other cars?

No Bart.

It's not even the other way around. Saleen never offered that wheel with the "rolled" polished lip.

The wheels you see on that yellow car came in real similar offsets for the Supra of the day and the 300ZX which they call The "Fairlady" in Japan. There are quite a few of those wheels floating around the USA and made their way to Saleen owners. Don't get me wrong, they still look awesome. There are only a dozen or so asshol*s like myself that know the difference anyway. Now you know so you are a new a**hole like myself! If you took that wheel off the fron of that yellow car and looked at the hub you will notice that it has been machined or "bored" out so that the wheel fits over the SVO/Lincoln front rotor.

Nice Randy. No they wouldn't. Are they in good enough shape for you?

I even sprung for $2.98 of bubble wrap so they would ride along with each other.

I haven't got them yet Marcus. According to the Fedex tracking they should arrive today. I know they will be just fine, and Thanks!

About those Sterns, I know someone around here that has the ones with the polished lip. I always thought they were the correct ones. Bummer! Learn something new everyday.

Wow, you are right. After looking at this SA10

I still like the lips on the Yellow car better.

I guess this site does not like brad b-a-r-n-e-t-t?

Yea,

George's car look great. I know the cat he bought them from.

They didn't look that nice at first though. George put some sweat into them.

You're right Marcus! Georges Sterns look awesome on his car!
Ya know, George takes alot of crap about his car everywhere he turns, but he deserves some credit because he has worked his ass off on that car for years. The car looks absolutely Perfect! He loves his car and has accomplished so much with it. He and I get together all the time and do Cruises and shows together. When we come up in our Saleens together, with our superchargers whistling like jet engines in unison, people seem to gather around with their mouths hanging open everywhere we go. My car wouldn't be where it is today without Georges knowledge and expertise.

Oh by the way. I got the caps and they are very nice. I gonna polish them up and use a couple of them on the car.
thanks again

Randy I truly appreciate the kind words. You are one of the greats, you're like younger brother to me and I enjoy all the time we share doing car stuff. Some people I guess just don't get it. Bart, Marcus, Scott and You and some others on the other hand do and for that I say thank you.

George
