I've been recently looking to supercharge my 99 GT and have come across some incomplete kits on ebay where a few of them the seller only has the head unit and the tubing and a few of the other parts.... if i called up vortech and told them what I Have would they sell me what i need for a reasonable price?
I'm to the point where I'm about to put a wanted ad in the paper for a used vortech haha

Thanks in advance for any responses

keep searching forums dude... ebay would be the last place id look... i just got mine used from a dude on modulardepot's forums... was missing a few things which i easily got from paxton

I'd be cautious on any kit missing pieces. Most of the time, kits listed as complete, minus a fuel pump, or something to that extent will still be missing random bolts and what not. You may also want to keep an eye on modularpowerhouse's site, there seems to be a few S/C's go through there.

You gotta be careful with used supercharger kits. Besides the fact that they might be incomplete, you never really know if they are good or not till it's too late. You'd be surprised how many times people sell their "crappy" blowers to other people without letting them know that the blower is not working right.

I suggest you get a brand new kit with all the parts you need. That way your not missing any parts and you have a warranty.

For example if you buy the complete kit from MPH you get warranty, all the parts you need, and if you have any problems they will take care of you. If you just buy a tuner kit and run into a problem you really can't call up the people you bought the kit from to help you resolve it.

:stupid:
I bought a Vortech Supercharger kit on e-Bay last year for my 96 GT. It was missing a few parts (discharge tube, fuel relay, bolts, oil elbow, etc.) that I then ordered from Vortech. The condition of everything was not as described, it was a lot older and worn. The people at Vortech were very helpful. Anyways, I haven't put it on yet but I would advise you to buy from a reliable source or from someone you know. It is literally a cr@p shoot to buy off e-bay when you spend that much. I wouldn't do it again. :nonono:

I live in VA, Im most likely put the car on ebay and local ads if that dont sell I will be taking it apart and selling all my aftermarket parts.
I say if the car dont sell by May 1 will take it apart.

3v or 4v here I come! :D

Ebay

don't buy one on ebay, some of the kits they sell are from mustangs that were totalled in accidents, and if the oil line broke to the supercharger during an accident, the supercharger will be a POS, they get it for dirt cheap, and rip you off, I would suggest saving up and buying a new one, that is what I'm doing
