Does any one know on the ECT sensor which wire to splice and install an adjustable trim pot in order to change what the ECU is getting. what about the value for the trim pot? what i am trying to achieve is a richer mixture of fuel and air . thank you :nice:

what i am trying to do is to change the duty cycle of the injectors, that way they stay open just a little bit lomger to get more fuel in the cylinders. right now i'm running 50 PSI of fuel pressure and she runs lean on the higher rpm range, just trying to get more fuel into the motor.

Try 52 psi ;) Are you sure fuel pressure holds steady at higher rpms and doesn't drop off?

I can't remember what year your car is, does the car have speed density or the MAF?

Here is all the info you could need on the ford ECT sensor: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=28

As 65clone said, you probably just don't have enough injector. Additionaly, high impedance injectors (as you have) have a limited duty cycle. You can try to trick the computer into giving it a higher duty cycle, but that style injector can't physically stay open more than about 90%.

On my 2.3T, I've run as much as 60psi base fuel pressure. Then, adding 20psi of boost, the pressure could hit 80. Yeah, excessive, but it did the job.
