Installing performer manifold/ 500 cfm carb on my 66 c-code.At the last stages of project.I have the threaded/solid rod throttle with dog leg.and at the end it has a 90 degree.bend where it went into old 2100 carb. The threaded end is back by the fire wall.I screwed it all the way out but cam up 3/4 of an inch short of hole on new Edel.throttle arm.Everything lines up no interferences, just to short.Any ideas from those who have been here? Adapter etc.Had it fit would have drilled small hole at the end for cotter key and been done. Thanks to all ,as I tried to cut to the chase .

Do you have a pic ?

I've changed the cable out of a cable housing before. You can buy cable wire by the foot from Lowes or home depot. I used a Mr gasket throttle cable kit from Autozone to get the end that went on the linkage arm at the carb. The kit came with an end piece that locked on the cable with an allen screws and an adjustable section. In my application I opted out of the plastic stop on the gas pedal. There I used a brake line threaded end and ran the cable through it with a cable stop on the end.

Thanks for idea,I was going to use a nut coupler on the male threaded end and use all thread on the other side of coupler to extend it 1" or so.But the size is #12-24 smaller the a 1/4 " diameter.Every hardware store in town had no coupler in that size. The threaded end of throttle rod screws in to bracket arm near firewall and can be adjusted for length. The rest of rod is solid.I might as a last resort cut the rod and have welder add another 2" to length with same diameter rod.
