Edelbrock Gasgacinch same as Permatex High Tack?

Just wondering if these two products were basically the same thing.

I was reading the intake installation instructions for my Performer RPM Air Gap, and it says to "Apply Edelbrock Gasgacinch to both head intake flange and back of gasket"

I have the Permatex stuff at home, and if it's the same thing I will use that.
