How big of an issue are the soft spring seats in Edelbrock heads, for example see this article at fordmuscle.
Here's what I can see of mine:
So I'm wondering if I need to pull the heads solely for the purpose of replacing the spring seats. These have been on for ~30,000mi/12years approx and pampered. I'm inclined to leave them as is because I don't lean on it that hard, they've been OK for this long all ready, and screwing with them could create some new problem.
So how big of a problem are these seats?
