Has anyone had a problem with their Edelbrock polished manifold looking dull after it heats up? I was thinking about spending the extra $$$ for the polished version of the RPM Air Gap. I heard that after the manifold has heated up over time, that the luster will go away and it will look dull. Thanks.

All luster, on all parts will go away if they are not taken care of...regardless of the brand. you have a few choices:

1) Polish the intake once-twice a week

2) Clear it with ZOOP Seal (preferred)

3) Have it powdercoated clear. If you have it coated, it will dull a little bit, but it will make the intake look as if it is 'wet' all the time. (i dont like using clear powdercoat on a polished item) - it burns really easily when curing.

Polished manifolds

I have polished E'brock manifold and water pump on my 289, and have had no problems as yet with dulling of the finish. I do keep 'em clean, mind.
