How do I input custom cam specs into the EEC Analyzer software

I know thae standard specs, but its to also requires exhaust events open and close. Comp Cams was not any help.

There used to be a pull down menu that had alot of specs (I dont have the latest version so I dont know if they are still there). Also what cam from comp is it? or is it based off?

You could get a dgre. wheel and check the events?

There has been a lot of talk about that on the Tweecer site
so
Search around for a few old posts for details

If you don't find any helpful info rather quickly ....

They had a crash last year and lots of info was lost

Have you looked in the EA help files?

Have you looked on Clint's Site?

IIRC, I just got the values off my cam card
but
Its just been so long ago

I'll check the tweecer site again (yahoo group, right?).

The EA pull down specs don't match mine, which is Ford 351W Xtreme Energy Retro-Fit XR270RF-HR10 Cam.

EA has a cam that ends in a 12, rather than 10. I have no idea what that last numbers mean.

Clint wrote back and will help. My laptop just went out for warranty repair, so I have to wait until it comes back.

Clint said that I needed more cam info from Comp cams. The first Comp Cams tech did not have the answers. The seconf Comp Cams tech was very good and gave me the rest of the specs. He did mention that the cam was not designed for EFI, and that it would cause rich erractic idle. He was right, but I've already gotten it to a decent 900 rpm idle with 19mpg average. I'm expecting to improve on this with the injector timing corrected for the cam.

Clint already sent me the cam update. Hp won't get the laptop back until the end of Jan.

I'll post the results for anyone else dealing with this issue.

Thats good to hear

With the inj timing and watching your K's closely

You can get things as good as possible ... in spite of .........
the Old School Bumpstick

Couldn't do that with dizzy, afpr, or other mechanical means

Look forward to seeing your progress
