hey guys i found an EFI dist out of a 89 mustang gt. do you think it will perform good enough?? how could i tell if i could use the dist with my cam or not?? what fuel pump do you guys recommend for my EFI conversion?? also what fuel filter do you guys recommend too? i could use all your guy's knowledge about EFI conversions thanks for your helpful ideas and comments!!

That distributor is for a roller cam, it'll have a steel gear, if you choose to use it on a non roller cam engine you'll need to change the gear, no biggie. For EFI on a mild engine Ron Morris performance and mustangs plus sell a decent pump thats reasonably priced, its a stock external ford pump. If youre making 350hp or more its not really enough pump but its perfect for most efi conversions, and can be used with a ford EFI filter OR an aftermarket. check it out www.ronmorrisperformance.com Ron seems to be a great guy and will help his customers with EFI conversion troubles whenever he can.

thanks for the info TT.!! hey TT670 how many MPG are you running at right now?? wiht your EFI system? i have a 289 and i jus want to know about where my MPG will be around. thanks

Hack is right, Im glad that was brought up. If youre using EFI from a 5.0L HO motor, its a sequential fire system and it requires the HO(old351) firing order. Dont fret, you can change some wire locations in the 60 pin connector and straighten that out if you so choose or If youre going to upgrade cams get one with the 351 firing order. The 60 pin wire changing info is also on www.fordfuelinjection .com. If neither of those sounds appealing you can get a batch fire EFI system from a non HO car and it'll be fine. I suggest the HO Sequential EFI and changing the wires in the 60 pin..its a better setup and its easy to change.
