What kind of connector is this on the fuel line? I'm sure the one in his hand is the barb fitting..

I'm ordering my 3/8" line from Summit, and also a -6 AN male barb fitting. I'm trying to figure out how to connect all of this together, I'm going to have to flare the aluminum fuel line and connect it to the barb fitting on the one end, and also figure out how to connect it to the fuel filter (think it's a '92 mustang filter) and also to my Holley Red Electric fuel pump...

how do I connect the flare end of the aluminum line to the fuel filter?

Any suggestions would be helpful!

It's just an AN/aircraft flare fitting. I have a bunch of that stuff lying around.

EDIT: The 5.0 Mustang EFI filter has the slide-lock fittings with a plastic clip to keep them from sliding apart. You'll probably need a line with an AN on one end and the slide fitting ont he other unless you get an aftermarket filter with ANs on the ends

Eh, that I'm not sure about. You can pay an arm and a leg for stuff like Earl's or Aeroquip fittings from a speedshop or maybe track down a place that deals with hydraulics and see if they have them. I don't know if one even exists for the 5.0 filter.

I will get a new fuel filter if need be, I just want to get this finished this month What kind of fuel filter has the AN fittings?

Is that the only way to connect an aluminum 3/8" line to a barb fitting - using the AN/aircraft flare fitting? I guess I will call on Wednesday when I'm off to see where I can find some. Where'd you pick up yours at?

I cannot believe this is the hardest part of this EFI conversion....

I don't know if that is the only way to hook the hard line to a barb, but is's one of the better ways. This is a high pressure line, right?

Summit has all kinds of fittings like this and the fuel filters with threaded ends.

Fittings:

Fuel filters:

EDIT: I was wrong, they do have Ford EFI-to-AN fittings.

Depending on how much pressure you plan to run... I know at AZ we sell replacement fuel line sections. It has about an 18" section of the plastic line and the plastick clip-lock connection on the end. Just an idea...
