EFI Supercharger install questions.

I am in the process of installing a Vortech supercharger on my EFI mustang. I ran into problems with the dipstick tube. As you may know the kit is for Fox mustangs and they don't have a dipstick hole in the front. The mounting bracket is in the way. What did you do to deal with this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

a lot of guys drill a hole in the bracket for the dipstick tube to pass through.

This is what I had to do - it's not a big deal. I used a Ford Racing dipstick (tube and stick), but a flexible one might work better. This setup makes checking your oil a bit of a hassle - the dipstick is buried among lots of obstructions, so build your engine nice and tight - no oil burners! A flexible one might let you bring it a bit further out.

I had one other question I forgot to put in the original post. My engine has an underdrive pulley set. When I put on the Vortech kit it has a new crank pulley that is larger. Will I need to put the original Water pump pulley back on? I was thinking it was going to cause it to overheat. Thanks.

I went and picked up some plugs that are 1 colder than AFR recommends. Thanks for the tip on plug gap. I was thinking 35 but it sounds like I will go with 32 and then hand it over to the tuner for final adjustment. The heads should be in Monday and then it is just finding the time to work on it. A 3 year old and a 4 month old doesn't leave much time at the end of the day. ......................... But I wouldn't change that for the world! :D
